Candidates should have the following qualifications: Students must take and pass a final road test. Students must have a 45 hour driving log completed, 15 hours of which must have been after sunset.

For our school Driver’s Education course, there is a mandatory parent meeting in order for students to be able to participate in the behind-the-wheel part of the class. SFE551 will be offered during summer sessions 2 & 3, online.ĥ50 and 560 are 100% online students work independently and submit work by due dates. SFE560 will be offered during summer session four, online. SFE550 will be offered during summer session one, online. SUNY BROOME can set up satellite locations for hands on meetings in western NY as well as downstate.

SUNY Broome will continue to offer classwork virtually and Traffic Safety 1 & 2 at satellite locations for school districts and BOCES (for groups of three or more) New York teachers need to take both 503 and 505 courses for the NY Driver Education provisional certificate.
